Tie Rod Replacement

When we showed the Skyline to my mechanic friend for the first time, we asked for his honest opinion about the car. He is a very nice guy, wouldn't expect anything saying bad unless there is a serious problem. Anyway, he liked the car and said it's a nice, clean car, etc. About an hour later, one young mechanic visited his shop to buy some brake parts. My friend said, this is the JDM expert, let's get him check the car. 

First thing he checked was wheels, Skyline was already lifted and he checked all wheels one by one and he found the first problem: front left rod tie needs to be replaced. When you hold the wheel from the sided and try to rotate you can easily feel the gap. Also as you see in the photo rubber is worn as well.

A new tie rod added to shopping list.

Shopping: I usually buy most of the parts from online shops or eBay.  So I was buying the regular maintenance parts online and remembered the tie rod. There was some variety on eBay, I always try to buy not the most expensive or the original or the cheapest. I carefully compare products, check shop reputation and part descriptions and buy the reasonable one.

Anyway, it's ended up by buying the below one from eBay

Later on my friend has changed it quickly, I couldn't take any photos but I can tell that it was not very hard to replace.
